Incident Summary
On November 12, 2005, Chadux was contacted by the USCG Marine Safety Detachment in Kodiak about a 56 foot landing craft that had sunk in Izhut Bay off of Afognak Island. Chadux was activated under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) and contracted two vessels to assist with on-water recovery of floating product and oil drums. While no floating product was encountered, 31 drums of diesel and a 300 gallon tank of diesel were recovered. Chadux demobilized vessels and personnel on November 14.
