Corrosive Chemical Response Date: 10/8/2004 Location: Anchorage, Alaska Incident Summary On October 8, 2004, Chadux was activated to respond to a chemical release that had occurred aboard a container ship. The leaking product was identified as a corrosive cleaner with a minimal exposure hazard. Two Chadux technicians and a supervisor met the vessel at the Port of Anchorage on the morning of October 9, 2004 and oversaw the offloading of the container. The leaking drum was identified and the residual spilled material was removed. |
